Abigail “Rose” Ackers started playing ball at the age of 9 and soon realized her love of the game, and team sports. At the age of 13 she’s, over 6 feet tall and an accomplished first baseman. Continually challenging herself, she insist on playing third base too, and hopes to be a pitching in the Spring of 2018.
Off the field, Rose is currently a straight A student, and has never scored lower than a B in any class. She’s always had a love for science and history, and in her 8th grade year moved into advanced classes for both. She also has a passion for percussion since she was 10 years old, and plays in the Navo Middle School Band. In her free time, she helps out younger kids in the 10U recreational softball league she used to play for. This year she’s decided to help people less fortunate by initiating and leading a food and toy drive at her School that benefits the Salvation Army.
Rose has always been self-motivated and determined to do good in everything she pursues. Her future is a little uncertain as she struggles with being a Secret Service Agent, or a Field Scientist. Perhaps she’ll find a way to be both.
