District Meet Night One Compulsory
Rockwall is off to a strong start scoring a 175.3 in the first night of the District Meet. This is just .2 away from the school record! Five gymnasts scored perfect 10s as well—Chase Nowaczyk and Matthew Hafele on Pommel, Michael Gomez and Trey Lopez on Parallel Bars, and Will Langston on High Bar. Congratulations to the boys and good luck tomorrow for night 2-Optionals.

The Men’s Gymnastics team is back in action this week as they compete for the district championship. They will compete Compulsory on Wednesday and Optionals on Thursday. Good luck to the guys as they compete and take one step closer to a 2021 State Championship!

Battle of the Rock
The Men’s Gymnastics team was finally back in action last night competing against cross town rival Heath in the Battle of the Rock. Rockwall once again dominated on all events led by the outstanding all around performances of Senior Gavin Figert and Freshman Trey Lopez. This was also a night to honor our 9 seniors. So thankful for this outstanding group of young men who have been a crucial part of the team for the last 4 years. Next up...district meet on March 31 and April 1. #roadtostate2021

RHS vs San Angelo
Our Men’s Gymnastics team traveled to San Angelo to take on the #2 team in the state and came out victorious once again with a total team victory. With this victory the men hold onto their number 1 state ranking.

Compulsary Meet vs Round Rock and Lakeview
Just a few highlights from this weeks Men’s Gymnastics meet. Senior Zakary Hemphill scoring a 9.3 on floor, Senior Captain Chase Nowaczyk scoring a 9.1 on Pommel and Freshman Trey Lopez with an 8.4 on High Bar. Impressive scores for their first compulsory meet!

There was a lot of orange on the medal stand again tonight as the Men’s Gymnastics team turned in another solid team victory against Chisholm Trail High School. Rockwall took first in every event including a perfect 10 by Michael Gomez on the Parallel Bars and the All Around Champion Gavin Figert.
